  • Applications Lab Team Member

    The Applications Lab Team Member assesses customer needs, communicates capabilities, provides test methods, and otherwise assists customers in validating potential purchases. This position helps sell equipment by acting as the voice of the customer to translate needs and identify and test potential solutions. Hours for this role are 7:00 am – 4:00 pm or 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. This position may travel and includes a training period, duration is dependent on existing knowledge level. This position requires onsite presence in Halfmoon, NY.

    Responsibilities

    • Program machines for path work.
    • Act as intermediary, provide technical support, understand needs, and describe product capabilities and company offerings by translating technical language for potential customers, as needed.
    • Provide correct and accurate information based on testing processes and develop follow-up reports.
    • Create pictures/videos/reports to present test results to customer on 90% of machines.
    • Clean systems to maintain organization, impact customer service, and ensure ready for use.
    • Review MSDS, understand required PPE and how to process and dispose of materials, as needed.
    • Review database and provide recommendations to customers on materials, products, settings, insight parameters, and history of use.
    • Understand logic behind customer processes/needs and relay information to software programming department, as needed.
    • Partner with technical experts and create white papers to describe company capabilities, as needed.
    • Respond to service tickets regarding urgent customer needs and support service, engineers and manufacturing, as needed.
    • Answer direct questions and escalate issues from customers to supervisor.
    • Attend trade shows and company events, as needed.
    • Assist customer with process improvement and optimization.
    • Lead, assist, or support team members when performing runoff, installation, and rework installation.
    • Provides onsite support and installations at customer locations, as needed.

    • Shares information learned from customers with supervisor to create efficiency and improve processes in the operation.

  • Assembly Technician

    The Assembly Technician is responsible for manufacturing the systems and products sold by PVA. This position ensures that product is assembled correctly and shipped on time. Hours for this position are 7:00 am – 3:30 pm 5 days/week or 6:00 am – 4:30 pm 4 days/week (weekdays only). Starting pay is $16-$20 per hour. There are many opportunities for growth and advancement! This position requires onsite presence in Halfmoon, NY.

    Responsibilities

    • Reads and interprets electrical and mechanical schematics to assemble components.
    • Uses a volt meter and hand tools.
    • Cable assembly and cable integration into motion platform.
    • Ensures department meets weekly average shipment targets.
    • Ensures that goals and expectations are met, and product is being developed on schedule.
    • Ensures equipment is in optimum working order and brings issues to supervisors’ attention within one hour when aware of machine interruption.
    • Maintains confidentiality of customer information 100% of the time.

  • CAD Designer/Drafter

    The CAD Designer/Drafter is responsible for creating CAD drawings to create the systems and products sold by Precision Valve Automation – PVA. This position creates the drawings used for building and detailing the machinery correctly, and within customer requirements, budget, and timeframe which ultimately impacts the revenue and long-term profitability of the company. Starting pay is $20-$24 per hour depending on experience. This position requires onsite presence in Halfmoon, NY.

    Responsibilities

    • Creates electronic files, assembly documents, pneumatic schematics, fluid diagrams, frame assemblies, and detailed part drawings for print, machining, or other manufacturing operations within specified book date.
    • Partners with purchasing, inventory, and machine/fabrication shops to order parts for on time delivery and part parameter accuracy.
    • Generates engineering best drawing practices to ensure consistency.
    • Organizes CAD design models on the basic machinery.
    • Reviews naming convention to ensure consistency.
    • Cross checks team designs and drawings for each machine build.
    • Helps to create templates to impact documentation efficiency and accuracy.
    • Designs parts, as needed.
    • Helps develop drawings, diagrams, and schematics for patent application, as needed.

  • CNC Press Brake Operator

    The CNC Press Brake Operator (Trumpf Tru Bend 5130) bends sheet metal used to assemble the systems and products sold by PVA. Experience preferred, however training is available for the right candidate interested in the position. Hours for this position are 6:00 am – 2:30 pm, Monday – Friday (1st shift) or 2:00 pm – 2:00 am, Monday – Wednesday (2nd shift – work 36 hours, get paid for 40!). Salary will be commensurate with experience.

    Responsibilities

    • Operates the press brake to manufacture parts.
    • Reads and interprets mechanical part drawings for their value stream.
    • Ensures that goals and expectations are met, and product is being developed on schedule.
    • Ensures equipment is in optimum working order and brings issues to team leaders’ attention within one hour when aware of machine interruption.

    The Electrical Assembly Technician is responsible for wiring various manufacturing robotics per instructions and guide books. This position ensures that product is assembled correctly and shipped on time. Hours for this position are 7:00 am – 3:30 pm 5 days/week or 6:00 am – 4:30 pm 4 days/week (weekdays only). Starting pay is $16-$20 per hour. There are many opportunities for growth and advancement!

    Responsibilities

    • Reads and interprets electrical drawings and schematics for their value stream.
    • Builds wire kits, cables, assemblies, panels and enclosures and integrates machines following procedure and instructions to meet customer expectations.
    • Ensure electrical safety is observed and practiced and proper PPE worn, 100% of the time.
    • Ensures that goals and expectations are met, and product is being developed on schedule.
    • Ensures equipment is in optimum working order and brings issues to supervisors’ attention within one hour when aware of machine interruption.

    The Pre-Build/Assembly Technician is responsible for starting the manufacturing process for robotic equipment per instructions and guide books. This position ensures that product is assembled correctly and shipped on time.Hours for this position are 7:00 am – 3:30 pm 5 days/week or 6:00 am – 4:30 pm 4 days/week (weekdays only).   • R&D Design Engineer

    The R&D Design Engineer is responsible for innovating and designing the standard products sold by Precision Valve Automation – PVA. This position identifies market needs and ensures that the standard products are designed correctly and within customer requirements, budget, and timeframe. This position requires onsite presence in Halfmoon, NY.

    Responsibilities

    • Develops and delivers an on-time, complete, and accurate design and documentation package.
    • Updates designs for standard offerings and conducts research and development for future products offered to customers.
    • Manages product information through entire lifecycle within PVA.
    • Coordinates engineering, sales, and production departments to develop project schedules that includes a release date for sufficient manufacturing and production time.
    • Releases products within organization and ensures documentation and training is detailed and communicated effectively to other departments.
    • Conducts internal mechanical and software design reviews as part of R&D process.
    • Interprets safety codes so that equipment meets specifications on every design.
    • Coordinates with purchasing and shops upon release of new products.
    • Develops drawings, diagrams, and schematics for patent application, as needed.
    • Maintains confidentiality of customer information, 100% of the time.
    • Generates engineering best practices and design guide to ensure consistency.
    • Participates in meetings with potential clients to understand needs and communicate company capabilities and deliverables, as needed.
    • Reviews products on the market and brings ideas to the attention of the manager for future development.
