  • Analyst/Programmer (C#)

    The Analyst/Programmer analyzes and develops Epicor (C# based ERP) and IT user information system needs. This position is critical to PVA; the Analyst/Programmer ensures all physical and virtual systems are optimized for business performance with little to zero downtime which impacts the revenue and long-term profitability of the company. This position requires onsite presence in Cohoes, NY.

    Responsibilities

    • Design, develop, document, analyze, create, test and modify Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) computer systems, programs and integrations.
    • Arrange project requirements in programming sequence by analyzing requirements; preparing a workflow chart and diagram using knowledge of computer capabilities, subject matter, programming language, and logic.
    • Document the functionality and requirements for IT and ERP systems/software.
    • Develops and maintains applications and databases in ERP system by evaluating client needs; analyzing requirements; developing software systems.
    • Apply troubleshooting and maintenance techniques and procedures, including consulting with users to determine ERP hardware, software or systems functional specifications.
    • Maintains ERP computer systems and programming guidelines by writing and updating policies and procedures.

  • Project Engineer

    The Project Engineer (Mechanical) is responsible for innovating and designing the systems and products sold by Precision Valve Automation – PVA. This position ensures that the product is designed correctly, and within customer requirements, budget, and timeframe. This position requires onsite presence in Cohoes, NY.

    Responsibilities

    • Review sales orders and interprets engineering needs to deliver an on-time, complete, and accurate design and documentation package.
    • Monitors project to ensure that goals and customer expectations are met, and product is developed on schedule.
    • Facilitates project kick-off meeting.
    • Coordinates with other departments to develop project schedule.
    • Answers questions, manages expectations and acceptance criterion, and fosters customer relationships throughout the design process.

    The Field Applications Engineer provides technical service for the systems and products sold by PVA. This position helps customers maximize value of products from pre-shipment through end of life. This position requires frequent travel and includes a training period, duration is dependent on existing knowledge level. The ideal candidate for this role will have mechanical aptitude with good problem-solving and interpersonal skills.

    Responsibilities

    • Maintain expert level technical knowledge of PVA product line.

    The Machinist is responsible for machining the parts sold by PVA. This position ensures the product is created according to specifications based on instructions and job tracker. This position requires onsite presence in Cohoes, NY.

    Responsibilities

    • Creates parts and follows procedures and instructions to meet customer expectations.
    • Reads and interprets mechanical schematics to ensure accuracy.
    • Sets up tooling equipment, loads parts, reviews programming steps, and ensures adherence to quality standards and specifications.
    • Fabricate precision parts from metal, plastic, etc. using machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, drill press, etc.
    • Responsible for performing first piece inspections on machined parts.

    The Inventory Team Member is responsible for receiving, stocking, maintaining, and inventorying parts used to build PVA’s machinery. This position ensures parts are available when needed for production. This position requires onsite presence in Cohoes, NY.

    Responsibilities

    • Distribute materials, products, parts, and supplies to customers or coworkers, based on information from incoming requisitions.
    • Receive and ensure parts are identified correctly and placed in the correct location/bin.
    • Monitor and report inventory variances.
    • Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage.
    • Keep appropriate inventory records and adjustments.
    • Complete new item set up in system as needed.
    • Conduct cycle counts as needed.
