Job Description: The Assembly Technician is responsible for starting the manufacturing process utilizing hand tools for robotic equipment per instructions and guide books. This position ensures that product is assembled correctly and shipped on time. There are many opportunities for growth and advancement!

Job Details:

  • 7:00 am – 3:30 pm Monday-Friday (1st shift)
  • Starting pay $16.00 – $22.00 per hour depending on experience
  • Onsite in Halfmoon, NY

Job Responsibilities:

  • Reads and interprets electrical drawings and schematics for their value stream.
  • Attaches sheet metal sides to pre-assembled frames and installs motion components (gantry).
  • Ensures that goals and expectations are met, and product is being developed on schedule
  • Ensures equipment is in optimum working order and brings issues to supervisors’ attention within one hour when aware of machine interruption.
  • Maintains confidentiality of customer information, 100% of the time.
  • Keeps a neat and organized work station for safety and efficiency, 100% of the time
  • Forms strong working relationships within team and treats each other with respect.
  • Corresponds with departments, and team through face-to-face meetings.

Job Description: The Inventory/Receiving Team Member is responsible for receiving, stocking, maintaining, and inventorying parts used to build machinery for PVA. This position ensures parts are correct and available when needed for production.

Job Details:

  • 7:00 am – 3:30 pm Monday-Friday
  • Starting pay is $18.00 – $22.00 per hour depending on experience
  • Onsite in Halfmoon, NY

Job Requirements:

  • Receives/distribute materials, products, parts, and supplies to customers or coworkers, based on information from incoming requisitions.
  • Ensures invoices for pricing and quantity match shipping manifest.
  • Ensures boxes and product meet quality specifications.
  • Notates damages on bill of lading at time of receipt.
  • Assures “just in time” parts are received by noon.
  • Receive and ensure parts are identified correctly and placed in the correct location/bin.
  • Monitor and report inventory variances.
  • Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage.
  • Keep appropriate inventory records and adjustments.
  • Complete new item set up in system as needed.
  • Conduct cycle counts as needed.
  • Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety standards.

Skills:

PVA is hiring a Manufacturing Project Manager to join our growing team in robotic automation. The Manufacturing Project Manager is responsible for managing custom robotic equipment orders. This position ensures that the product is designed and built within customer requirements, budget, and timeframe which ultimately impacts the revenue and long-term profitability of the company.

Job Details:

  • 7:00 am – 4:00 pm or 8:00 am – 5:00 pm Monday-Friday (1st shift)
  • Starting pay is $60,000 – $80,000 per year depending on experience
  • Onsite 5 days/week in Halfmoon, NY 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Reviews sales orders, facilitates project kickoff internal to PVA, participates with Engineering in the customer spec review, and works with the team to ensure machines are designed and delivered in accordance with the sales order and all other project documentation, within the agreed to timeframe.
  • Monitors project to ensure that goals and customer expectations are met, and product is developed on schedule.
  • Communicates deliverables, delays, and underlying issues that may impact production and shipments.
  • Identifies blockers and outlines the who, what, when on projects with risks and/or delays.
  • Reports on all project blockers and ensures the issues are escalated accordingly.
  • Ensures project kick-off meeting occurs within one week of receipt of sales order.
  • Coordinates with Engineering, Sales, Production, and Operations to develop project schedules and milestones for sufficient manufacturing and production time.
  • Participates in customer meetings to communicate project status.
  • Follows up and facilitates meetings to gain customer approval of all specifications prior to release of engineering documentation, manufacturing or procurement of materials.
  • Confirms that milestones have been completed and ensures that projects stays on schedule.
  • Answers questions, manages expectations and acceptance criterion, and fosters customer relationships through Project Management.
  • Ensures the run-off document is created at least two weeks prior to scheduled run-off or project completion date and post run-off punch list is published and monitored for completion.
  • Flags and communicates scheduling concerns for project at any stage of the project.
  • Maintains confidentiality of customer information 100% of the time.

Job Description: The Project Engineer (Mechanical) is responsible for innovating and designing custom robotic machines sold by PVA. This position follows machines from design through shipment and ensures customer satisfaction via design, requirements and budget alignment, and timeframe.

Job Details:

  • 7:00 am – 4:00 pm or 8:00 am – 5:00 pm Monday-Friday (1st shift)
  • Starting pay is $60,000 – $95,000 per year depending on experience
  • Onsite 5 days/week in Halfmoon, NY

Job Responsibilities:

  • Designs and develops machine documents and submits models to CAD group to create diagrams and generate full bill for parts.
  • Review sales orders and interprets engineering needs to deliver an on-time, complete, and accurate design and documentation package.
  • Monitors project to ensure that goals and customer expectations are met, and product is developed on schedule.
  • Facilitates project kick-off meeting.
  • Coordinates with other departments to develop project schedule.
  • Answers questions, manages expectations and acceptance criterion, and fosters customer relationships throughout the design process.
  • Partners with purchasing and internal shops to order parts for on time delivery.
  • Organizes and facilitates Engineering Cross Review to assess and ensure design meets the needs of the customer and company.
  • Interprets safety codes so that equipment meets specifications on every design.
  • Conducts meetings to gain customer approval of all specifications prior to manufacturing.
  • Creates test run-off document, post run-off punch list, and conducts customer run-off acceptance meeting.

Precision Valve & Automation, Inc. (Halfmoon, NY) seeks a Regional Sales Representative who will be responsible for developing new customer relationships in assigned geographic territory. This position is critical to PVA; the Regional Sales Representative increases brand awareness, identifies and fosters customer relationships, and provides excellent service and technical knowledge which ultimately impacts the revenue and long-term profitability of the company. The potential candidate will spend 50% of their time in the office or working remotely, and 50% of their time will be devoted to domestic travel in their assigned sales territories to customer and potential customer sites. The travel will be for the purpose of sales meetings and the duration of these trips will be in the approximate range of 3-5 days. Telecommuting is permitted.

Specifically, duties will include the following responsibilities:

  • Conduct cold calls to potential customers and strategic buyers and ask probing questions to identify potential needs or to promote product or service sales;
  • Schedule and conduct face-to-face meetings with potential and existing customers to evaluate needs and promote products;
  • Prepare quotes for customer requests, including special order requests;
  • Input customer data into CRM system on a real-time basis;
  • Learn and understand PVA products to successfully communicate product specifications and applications to present solutions to potential and existing customers;
  • Translate customer needs into action-oriented deliverables and assess cost over-run risks through careful definition and clarity of scope;
  • Interface directly with customers to answer questions relating to the proposals or to refine scope of work content;
  • Emphasize product features, based on analyses of customer needs and on technical knowledge of product capabilities and limitations;
  • Demonstrate the operation or use of technical products;
  • Facilitate contract hand-off to project execution team;

  • Partner with outside sales reps, schedules meetings, and conducts quarterly sales calls to new and existing customers and strategic buyers in assigned geographic territory; and
  • Develop business and sales plans for assigned geographic territory, and review with manager on a monthly basis.

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field. The successful candidate must also have two (2) years of experience in business development or sales, which includes two (2) years of experience with the following:

  • Presenting technical product and service information to customers to increase RFP turnaround;
  • Working with distributors across various territories;
  • Conducting trials and product placement at customer sites; and
  • Improving market shares through strong customer relations.
