Choosing a Static Mixer: Pro Tip #3

PVA Pro Tip #3: Static Mixer Considerations

What to Look For in Dispensing Equipment Built for Long Term Reliability

When choosing a static mixer for your 2-component dispensing application, determining the correct number of mixing elements and tube diameter are key factors for success.

Consider the chemistry, viscosity, and mix ratio when selecting mixers. Materials with A and B components featuring similar viscosities and a 1 to 1 mix ratio will require a smaller static mixer than chemistries with a large viscosity delta and wide ratio.

Qualify the dispensed results with cross sections of samples to assure you are getting a homogeneous mixture. For help with your application look to the experts.
