Choosing the right spray valve is key to automating any conformal coating process. For 100% solid coatings, like UV cure and higher viscosity silicones, atomized spray valves are used to break up the material into small droplets to apply a thin film of coating at the desired target thickness.

For solvent based coatings, like acrylics and urethanes, an airless film coating valve can provide superior edge definition while applying a thicker film of material as majority of the solvent content will evaporate during the cure process.
